What is Indivisible?
Indivisible is a nationwide movement of millions of people working to stop the rise of authoritarianism in the United States and to demand a real democracy. We know that democracy only works when everyday people organize, show up, and hold those in power accountable.
Who are we?
We are your neighbors, Democrat, Independants, Libertarians, Progressives and Republicans who will vote for candidates who are present, listen and represent all of us and our common needs:
- Affordable food, medicine and healthcare
- Affordable housing and fuel
- Affordable and comprehensive homeowners insurance
- Good schools for our children and grandchildren
- Good job prospects
We vote for candidates who:
- Are honest and have integrity
- Unite, not divide us
- Value and protect our National Parks and lands
- Value our farmers and farmworkers
- Value and support our local small business community
- Will enact sane, fair and compassionate immigration reform
- Value our Constitutional rights
- Lead by example, not thuggary, on the world stage
- Will restore our moral standing among nations
- Support democracies abroad while improving the economy at home
- Care about all of us, not just the most extreme among us
What we do:
We work together with other county Indivisible groups under the umbrella group, CA5Unite, to form a coalition that elects those that truly represent us and the American values we hold dear.
- We actively work to realize a shared vision of a real democracy — of, by, and for the people. not oligarchs or corporations.
- We model inclusion, respect, and fairness in all of our actions.
- Coordinate and collaborate. We partner with other Indivisible groups on advocacy, elections, and national Indivisible campaigns.
- Build a strong and strategic movement. We focus our efforts to maximize our impact, winning policy victories and taking power at the local, state, and federal level.
