Dear Friends of Masuda for Congress,

2025 has come to a close, and we have witnessed one of the most destructive years in our nation’s history. When I first started exploring a run in March, people told me that it would take two or three election cycles to have a chance in CA5. Another person told me it would take $20 million. Many more simply said it wasn’t possible but wished me good luck. They weren’t seeing what I was seeing: a real shot at defeating Tom McClintock.

We all saw a Trump Administration that was ripping apart our country, pushing out terrible policies that were hurting people and that were going to hurt many more. We watched as the majority in Congress, including McClintock, willingly handed their Constitutional powers over to the President. People across the country were stunned at the speed and disregard with which our country was being reshaped. Through all this chaos, I saw an opportunity to build.

I knew we would have an opportunity to strike back if we could bring together the people who have been hurt, alienated, enraged, forgotten, and left behind. To do that, I needed a campaign that could take down a career politician. For eight months, we have been building and preparing for 2026. I have been to hundreds of meetings, shaken thousands of hands, listened to the struggles of people of all backgrounds and political affiliations, and it has all reinforced the same conclusion: I can beat Tom McClintock.  

The Masuda for Congress Campaign is ready to sprint from now through Election Night 2026 in November. We are exactly where we need to be, and I am ready to give everything I can to lead us to victory. I am grateful for the trust and hope that you have placed in me, and the time, effort, and support you have given.

As we enter 2026, I ask that you close the door on 2025, shake off any apathy, and channel your discontent, disbelief, and anger into action. There is work to be done, and there is no time to dwell on the past. Election 2026 is upon us, and it’s ours for the taking.
